Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution Lawyer in Laguna
We handle commercial disputes for Laguna businesses before the Regional Trial Court stations in Calamba, Biñan, San Pedro, San Pablo, and Santa Cruz — supply and quality disputes, collection, tooling and equipment recovery, and injunctions — as well as arbitration under supply contracts.
Manufacturing disputes in Laguna are usually about quality, delay, or tooling rather than simple non-payment, and they are technical: the evidence is inspection reports, specifications, engineering change records, and correspondence between quality teams. Cases are won by the party that preserved that record contemporaneously. Where the supply agreement points to arbitration, sometimes under a foreign parent's standard terms, that clause governs and the strategy has to be built around it from day one.

Frequently asked questions
A supplier delivered out-of-specification parts. What can we recover?
Typically the cost of rejected material, rework and sorting costs, and demonstrable consequential losses such as line downtime, subject to any liability cap in the contract. Contemporaneous inspection records determine what is provable.
Can we recover tooling we own but the supplier holds?
Yes, where ownership is documented — replevin allows recovery of specific property. A clear tooling ownership and return clause in the supply agreement makes this straightforward rather than contested.
Our contract requires arbitration abroad. Can we still sue here?
Generally not on the merits. A Philippine court will usually refer the parties to arbitration where a valid clause exists. Court assistance for interim measures and for enforcement of the award remains available.
