Frequently asked questions
What should I do if I receive a subpoena from the prosecutor?
Engage a lawyer immediately and never appear without counsel — but do not ignore the subpoena either. The counter-affidavit you submit at preliminary investigation often decides whether a case reaches court. We prepare that defense from day one.
Is bail always available?
No — bail is a matter of right only for offenses not punishable by reclusion perpetua or life imprisonment. For capital offenses, bail is discretionary and granted only when the evidence of guilt is not strong. We file and argue bail petitions urgently.
