Tax Law Lawyer in Taguig and Bonifacio Global City

We advise BGC and Taguig companies on cross-border taxation, treaty relief, transfer pricing documentation, VAT on services and exports, withholding obligations, incentive regimes, and Taguig local business tax.

The tax questions in BGC are mostly international. Payments to a foreign parent — service fees, royalties, interest, dividends — carry withholding tax that treaty relief may reduce, but only where the entitlement is documented under current BIR procedure. Related-party charges need transfer pricing support that exists before the audit, not after. And export or offshore-facing services may qualify for zero-rated VAT treatment where the requirements are met and the documentation holds up on review.

Services

Frequently asked questions

Are our services to overseas clients VAT zero-rated?

They can be, where the service is performed here for a foreign client doing business outside the Philippines and paid in acceptable foreign currency. The documentation requirements are strict and are where most claims fail.

Do we need transfer pricing documentation?

If you transact with related parties, yes — the BIR expects contemporaneous support for the pricing. Preparing it after an audit begins carries far less weight.

How is a regional headquarters taxed?

Regional headquarters and regional operating headquarters have distinct tax and regulatory treatment tied to the permitted activities. The classification must match what the entity actually does, or the treatment is challenged on audit.
